Saturday 17th July saw the twelfth annual 5-a-side football and netball championships for the UK legal profession, presented by Top Corner in conjunction with industry bible The Lawyer. The tournament was played out in almost perfect weather for sport, and you can now download a full set of results.

Particular congratulations go to Edwin Coe (men’s football Cup), Norton Rose (women’s football Cup) and Ashurst (netball Cup) – well done all!

Friday 9th July saw the second annual 5-a-side football tournament for the UK toy industry, presented by Top Corner in conjunction with industry bible ToyNews. The tournament was played out on what was one of the hottest days of the year so far, and you can download a full set of results.

ToyNews Fives raises money for The Toy Trust, this year contributing just over £2000.

Last Sunday saw the launch of the Netball Clinic with the first session proving a big-hit with drop-in patients!

We wanted to offer a service that would compliment our league work, offering support and coaching to anyone who wanted it. We also felt it was important to make netball as accessible as possible, providing something that individuals could enjoy and feel a part of, whatever their level of experience and regardless of whether they currently played in a team. Lads, don’t even try to deny that you’ve always dreamed about throwing the winning shot in the T47 Mixed Netball Summer Tournament… Finally here’s your chance to fulfil that lifelong ambition! Girls, chivvy your guy friends along to this brand new social sporting event and show them that netball is a lot more fun than they might realise (or have admitted to themselves)…

Topcorner and BrandNewPlan have joined forces to stage their first ever mixed netball tournament on Sunday 8^th August, 1-6pm. The officially funky T47 venue, right next to London Bridge station, will be the theatre of dreams for the afternoon as teams battle it out for glory.

Now into its twelfth year, LegalFives sponsored by The Lawyer is back on 17th July 2010. Featuring competitions for men’s 5-a-side, women’s 5-a-side and women’s netball, LegalFives 2010 will take place in north London on Saturday 17th July. At time of writing you can STILL enter the event!

It’s always brilliant fun, and is a fantastic opportunity for the legal profession to get together in a relaxed atmosphere, so you never know… there could always be some networking in there too. To say nothing of the bragging rights if you win! Here’s a report and pics from 2009’s tournament.

Team entry is for a squad of up to 10 players and includes a great BBQ lunch as well as the day’s sport and awards for the successful.
