FC TriDocs Retain The Premiership Title While Beachcroft Crowned Champions & Seal Promotion
London Legal 5-a-side Premiership and Championship
FC Tridocs retained the London Legal 5-a-side Premiership title with a 2-0 win over Judfield Wednesday on the very last night of the season. It was a close league with Twobirds running them close but in the end a record of 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses was enough to take the Premiership crown. Twobirds outscored Tridocs over the season but their 3 loses proved to be too much. Congratulations again FC Tridocs. The Lawyer.com FC and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge find themselves secure from the drop in midtable although it took a wonderful performance from The Lawyer.com FC to drag themselves out the relegation zone when they thrashed Rail Madrid 5-0 and in doing so condemned them to the Championship. Joining Rail Madrid are Judfield Wednesday who had only just come up.

In the Championship Beachcroft responded to the dire season they had in the Premiership the season before where they only won 1 game and lost 9 by becoming Championship champions. They will be hoping they will be better equipped for the Premiership this time. The Championship was a very tight league so a very well done for coming top of the pile. The 2nd promotion spot was taken by Travers Smith. Taylor Wessing FC came 3rd, AFC Haircuts 4th, Sheds Invitational FC 5th and The Big Daddies 6th.

In the individual awards it was no surprise that the Premierships Top Scorer would come from Twobirds who scored 28 in 10, more than any other team in each division. Rob Hamblin is the Premierships Golden Boot Winner along with his colleague Jack Jones who both scored 8. We should also mention Mark West (Rail Madrid) who came 3rd with 7 goals even though his team was relegated. The Championships Golden Boot went to Lewis Reyes (AFC Haircuts).
The Player of the Season award was taken Matthew Geaghan (FC Tridocs) after he received 4 nominations. Michael Baillie (Beachcroft) was named the Championships Player of the Season after he picked up 2 nominations. He was tied with Robbie Sinclair (Travers Smith) and Alan Thomson (The Big Daddies) so the referee decided who he felt had contributed more and Michael got the nod.
