Hi, I’m 22 (to be 23 in August) and I have not played football since Uni back in 2008, so incredibly rusty (not to mention unfit) – but I wasn’t bad at it! If there are any teams that are looking for players, please let me know. I’d love to get involved, especially as the summer is pretty much here!

Dynamo Dorises, a friendly ladies five a side team which plays in the Top Corner league at London Bridge on Tuesday evenings is looking for a couple of new players.

Ideally we are looking for people who have played some football, whether in the park or as part of a team – we are happy to accept any skill level. We are not a work team and are just friends of friends, so new players are made welcome.

While it is good to win, generally we are more interested in enjoying the game and having fun than in being overly competitive.

If you are interested in joining us, please contact me. My e-mail address is susiechild@hotmail.com

    Thanks

Hi, I’m 29 and just moved over here a couple months ago from the States. I played in college and have been playing recreationally for years. I’m primarily a defender but can make do in most positions. I’ve been out of the game for a few months due to moving but I’m dying to get back in to it. I live in Enfield in north London, but I work in central London so I can basically make it to most places without too much of a hassle. Please let me know what openings are out there. Thanks!

  • Kikk United

    03.06.11

Kikk United are a friendly women’s team who are looking for new players to join us for pre-season training and in training for, and playing in, the London and South East Regional League next season. We’re a central London team but our players come from all over London and next season, we will be playing our home games in a fantastic (and newly refurbished) stadium facility on the edge of zone 1 so we will have the perfect setting to build on the success (2008 Greater London Women’s Football League division 2 champs, 2009 GLWFL division 1 champs, 2010 LSERL division 1 runners-up) we’ve had so far.

Kikk historically is the only Scandinavian women’s football team in Britain but players from any country are very welcome and so the side is now a smörgåsbord of nations with Americans, Italians and British also well represented. We only have a small squad and this summer we have a few people heading off for new countries or to return back home so if you’re interested in testing yourself at a higher level or joining a sociable, well organised and ambitious club then do get in touch or come along to training once that resumes at the start of July (on Kennington Park astroturf) as new players are always made very welcome. The emphasis is on enjoying training and matches as well as working hard and we try to win games by playing an attractive brand of passing football!

You can contact us at kikkunited@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you asap or more details about the team are on our blog: http://kikkunited.wordpress.com/
(plus there are videos of a couple of goals here: http://kikkunited.wordpress.com/2009/11/09/kikk-utd-fc-11-1-leyton-ladies/

I used to play football a LOT when I was younger [until 18] then sort of stopped to start drinking and smoking instead and now want to get back into it through 5/6/7 a side midweek play [I can't commit to matches on the weekend as I often work on the weekends]. I’m 25, left footed attacking midfield, work in Soho, live in Hackney, willing to travel for matches. I’m probably quite rusty but just looking for an opportunity to play. lucy@lokiltd.com
